2017 Varsity Soccer
After losing 12 seniors from last year, the team struggled due to lack of experience and leadership. After one of our co-captains sustained an injury before the season started, George Grimbilas ’18 stepped up as the other co-captain and did a wonderful job of organizing the squad.
On the pitch the players found it hard to compete against bigger and stronger opponents, sticking to their task despite suffering some poor results. Our overall record was 2-8, and although we showed some improvements in the latter part of the season, the players now realize they must work hard on their techniques and combination plays with their teammates. We look forward to new players joining the team so that we can continue to rebuild the program.
